  IF YOU HAVE FAITH

How often do you hear yourself saying If only I was rich, If only I could lose weight, If only I was attractive, intelligent, taller/shorter, witty, funny or even popular… “ Life would be so much better then”.

How often do we get told by teachers, peers, friends, the media, etc that we are not good enough? The sad truth is it’s every day of our lives but what’s even sadder is we believe it.  How many times do you find yourself daydreaming about winning the lottery, getting a promotion at work or meeting the person of your dreams, only to follow that dream with thoughts of self doubt, like ..... “it’ll never happen to me” , or well maybe once I've lost weight had a tummy tuck a face lift , boob job landed a great job, become famous etc every one will love me and life will be perfect then.

  We go through life trying so hard to change, to fit in and be part of the family, the team, the neighbourhood, we try so hard to be popular and loveable, we search out acceptance from the out side when in truth the only way we will ever truly feel whole is to search out and find the love and acceptance within ourselves.

We must stop punishing ourselves with thoughts of self-doubt and start thinking more positively, for the truth is we are worthy of so much it doesn't matter what we look like or what sort of a background we come from we deserve to be loved and respected at all times no matter what,  not only by others but first and foremost by ourselves. Our bodies are the temples that house our divine souls, the part of us which is created in the image of our god, every one of us no matter what our colour or creed, each and every one of us has a measure of that divine spark within our souls and not only can no one ever take it from us, it will never go out but we must learn to honour and respect and have faith in our own divinity.

JESUS SAYS

Have faith in yourselves, life’s made up of ups and downs and the majority of people get their fare share of both, some times we will feel on top of the world other times we’ll feel life’s not worth living, but one thing you can be sure of and that is, no matter how bad things seem at times, things will get better, there is light and much hope at the end of every tunnel.

Truly, I say to you, He who believes in me will also do the works that I do
 and Greater Works than these, will he do...    John 14
